A Beautiful Marriage of Art and Nature in the Upcoming Floral Design Workshop with Marcy Grobler May 9

STAMFORD — Marcy Grobler of Sticky Petal Farm will share her design expertise in a workshop on Saturday, May 6, 2026, 11–12:30 at Headwaters Arts Center. In this hands-on floral design workshop, learners will create a seasonal floral arrangement using locally grown flowers from Sticky Petal Farm. Marcy will show participants how to choose a color palette, build structure and balance, and work with texture, as well as how to care for cut flowers. Each participant will leave with their own completed arrangement in a vase and the confidence to recreate designs at home. 

Marcy has years of experience growing, harvesting, and designing with flowers and loves sharing her knowledge —whether it’s learning a new creative skill, understanding seasonality, or simply enjoying the beauty of locally grown blooms.  She grows a wide variety of flowers using sustainable growing practices at Sticky Petal Farm, her small farm in Jefferson, NY. In addition to farming, they specialize in wedding and event florals throughout the Catskills, Hudson Valley, and beyond. Their work is rooted in seasonality, natural movement, and garden-inspired design.
